111 Lee Ave., Apt.111, Takoma Park, MD 20912Description
Join the Reeb Voting Rights Project for an fun evening of phone banking to get out the vote! We are calling North Carolinians on behalf of Democracy North Carolina to encourage early voting.
Rapidly changing voting laws in North Carolina have left many potential voters confused and therefore less inclined to vote. We are calling specific individuals who have expressed an interest in voting rights but did not vote in the 2014 election or presidential primary. Your call could very likely be the tipping point to encourage someone to vote. In 2014, voter turnout in communities targeted by Democracy North Carolina increased by 7%. Our calls make a meaningful difference in a historic election.
Join us at Susan's home for non-partisan voter outreach. Scripts and calling lists will be provided. All you need is your cell phone and enthusiasm. We recommend you bring a laptop, tablet, or other device to look up voter information while on the phone. Drinks will be provided. Please reach out to Mia Katan at ameliak@comcast.net with any questions. Fill out this form if you'd like to host: https://goo.gl/forms/getpfLWvUxeNfb522
Directions: 15 min. walk from Takoma metro. Parking is available in the neighborhood.
